Network Specialist

This course requires successful completion of the Cisco 1 and Cisco 2 modules. A base knowledge of networking fundamentals is required for entrance into the Accelerated Cisco Academy program. Through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and laboratory exercises, students are given information sufficient to identify and configure the best Cisco solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. Students perform all basic configuration procedures to build a multi-protocol internetwork that uses LAN and WAN interfaces for the most commonly used routing and routed protocols. This course will teach the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting information that technical support people require to install and configure Cisco products.

The programs' courses are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may involve:

• Install routers and switches
• Configure and update routers and switches
• Troubleshoot wide area and intra-office connectivity
• Optimize performance of network hardware
