This program is designed to provide students with a foundation in computer networks including Local area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with a focus on the Microsoft and LINUX platforms. Networking skills are learned and students should be prepared for the Microsoft Certified Sytems Administrator (MCSA) credential.* The courses are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs, which may involve: designing, installing, and troubleshooting Microsoft network architectures/topologies, as well as administering e-mail and web services. The courses in this program are designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs that may involve:

  • Troubleshooting problems involving computer networks
  • Installing and configuring computer networks
  • Maintaining and upgrading network hardware and software
  • Integrating multiple operating system platforms on a network
  • Administering e-mail and web services
  • Building and repairing computer hardware

Upon successful completion of this program, students will have been exposed to the topics typically found on the: Microsoft Certified Engineer (MCSE), A+, Network +, Certified Network Administrator (CNA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and the Certified Novell Engineering (CNE) examinations*.

* Registration or certification requirements for taking registration and certification exams are not controlled by the school but by outside agencies and are subject to change without notice to the school. The school cannot guarantee that graduates will be eligible to take certification exams, regardless of the eligibility status upon enrollment, or that graduates will successfully complete such exams.
