Information Systems Security
Today's organizations need information technology professionals with
an in-depth knowledge of emerging security threats and solutions to ensure that networks and
computer systems are secure. The Information Systems Security program emphasizes the
three major principles of IT security:
- To ensure the security and confidentiality of information
- To protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such information
- To protect against unauthorized access to or use of such information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to the organization.
Students can develop core competencies in database and information systems design, and in operating
systems and networks.
